NI PXI-8422 modules are asynchronous RS232 interfaces with 2000 V of optical isolation and available with two or four ports. NI PXI-8420 modules are asynchronous RS232 interfaces available with up to 16 ports.

The legacy PXI modules have been replaced by the NI PXI-843x next-generation serial interfaces, which offer increased performance and functionality for the same price as the legacy modules. You should use the NI legacy PXI modules, available in 2-, 4-, 8-, and 16-port versions, only with Windows Me/9x/NT and LabVIEW Real-Time.

System Assurance Programs

Extended Warranties

National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, however unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase, covering any repair costs for up to three years. In addition, they offer the following benefits:
