NI PCI-232I/2 (Legacy) boards are asynchronous serial interfaces for communicating with RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial devices.

The legacy PCI interfaces have been replaced by the NI PCI-843x next-generation serial interfaces, which offer increased performance and functionality at the same price as the legacy modules. Use the NI legacy PCI interfaces, which are available in 2-, 4-, 8-, and 16-port versions, only with Windows Me/9x/NT and LabVIEW Real-Time.
