The NI PCI-8252 and PXI-8252 are IEEE 1394a interfaces for PCI and PXI/CompactPCI. Both are OHCI v1.0 compliant and operate natively in Windows XP/2000/Me/98 OSs. The IEEE 1394a standard, with up to 400 Mb/s of bandwidth, is ideal for high-data-rate applications such as machine vision. You can purchase the PXI module with or without NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 software, used for acquiring images from IEEE 1394 cameras. The PCI board is RoHS compliant.
