A National Instruments USB-232 interface transforms your Universal Serial Bus (USB) port into a single asynchronous port for communication with RS232 devices. The USB-232 interface is shipped with NI-Serial driver software for Windows 2000/XP. You can use a USB-232 port as a standard serial port from your existing applications or with applications written with NI-VISA.
