High-speed digitizers, also known as PC-based oscilloscopes, offer several advantages over the traditional stand-alone oscilloscope by delivering an open architecture and flexible software. With a high-speed digitizer, you can perform the same measurements as an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, transient recorder, and other instrumentation at higher rates than a traditional instrument, thanks to the advancements in PC technology. National Instruments offers digitizers with resolution from 8 to 21 bits with low-jitter clocks to improve measurement accuracy and stability. In addition, NI high-speed digitizers have advanced timing and synchronization hardware so you can easily develop high-channel-count systems and integrate with other instrumentation functions, such as arbitrary waveform generation, digital I/O, and image acquisition.
