With the NI LabVIEW Express VI Development Toolkit, you can create interactive Express VIs to simplify the development of test, measurement, and control applications for your colleagues and customers. Express VIs significantly reduce the learning curve and development time associated with software tools by encapsulating the functionality of five to 15 standard VIs into single, interactive VIs that require little or no programming to configure.
You often may need to transfer your expert LabVIEW knowledge to less experienced programmers who possess advanced domain knowledge of an application. Express VIs provide an interactive, easy-to-use interface for your end users who have high application or concept understanding levels but who have low programming experience and comfort levels. For example, developers can use custom Express VIs to share software expertise with colleagues on a common project; create academic laboratory exercises for high school and college students; design customizable OEM applications; or create customizable driver software for custom hardware devices such as robotics. You can purchase the toolkit separately or as part of NI Developer Suite, a modular product offering with which you can select software components based on your application needs. With an NI Developer Suite subscription, you receive a new set of CDs featuring the most recent software version for each product in the suite four times a year as well as direct access to technical support from NI applications engineers via phone and e-mail.
