NI PCI-FBUS/2

2-Port Fieldbus Interface for PCI

  • Runs as Link Master or Basic Device
  • OPC server
  • Intel 80386EX processor
  • H1(31.25 kb/s) interface

The National Instruments PCI-FBUS/2 connects FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices to standard desktop or industrial personal computers. This interface, which connects to H1 (31.25 kb/s) networks, is a 2-port configuration. NI-FBUS communications manager (CM) software for Windows NT/2000/XP is included with each interface. NI-FBUS CM provides a very high level interface to FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices without requiring in-depth knowledge of lower-level Fieldbus protocols. HMI and DCS applications can use NI-FBUS CM for data collection and control on the Fieldbus. With the PCI-FBUS/2, a PCI bus computer can act as the host in a FOUNDATION Fieldbus system.
