The NI GPIB-ENET/100 Ethernet-to-GPIB controller and NI-488.2 take advantage of network connectivity in instrument control applications. Using the RoHS-compliant GPIB-ENET/100, networked computers can communicate with and control IEEE 488 devices from anywhere on an Ethernet-based (LAN) TCP/IP network. You can use the GPIB-ENET/100 to share a single GPIB system among many networked users or to control several test systems from a single networked host computer. By purchasing an NI-488.2 driver license, you acquire a multiple access license to use the NI-488.2 software in accordance with the applicable NI Software License Agreement. The GPIB-ENET/100 is NOT shipped with any NI-488.2 driver software; however, you should purchase the device with NI-488.2 for Linux OS, Mac OS X, Mac OS Classic, Solaris, HP-UX, or Digital UNIX. Older versions of NI-488.2 for Windows OS are also available. Please contact your local National Instruments office with any questions.
