The National Instruments TNT4882 is a single-chip IEEE 488.2 Talker/Listener interface to the GPIB. The RoHS-compliant NI TNT4882 combines the circuitry of the NAT4882 IEEE 488.2 controller ASIC, Turbo488 performance-enhancing ASIC, and GPIB transceivers to create a single-chip IEEE 488.2 interface. Because the TNT4882 contains complete NAT4882, NEC µPD7210, and Texas Instruments TMS9914A register sets, developers using any of these chips can port existing code directly to the TNT4882, thereby significantly reducing software development time. The TNT4882 is ideal for use in all IEEE 488 instrument designs because of its small size, surface-mount package, and performance enhancements that include HS488, a high-speed mode for GPIB transfers. To assist in the TNT4882 hardware design and software implementation, NI offers a special developer kit. This kit contains two TNT4882 chips, a TNT4882 ISA evaluation board, high-performance NI-Device DDK, source code, and software and hardware reference manuals. This kit is available to all interested developers who want to use the TNT4882 in their designs.

Extended Warranties
National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, however unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase, covering any repair costs for up to three years. In addition, they offer the following benefits:
Significant cost savings compared to individual repair incidents
Fault location, diagnostics, and repair by NI any time the system product fails
All parts and labor costs covered as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications
NI recognizes the need to maintain properly calibrated devices for high-accuracy measurements. NI provides manual calibration procedures, services to recalibrate your products, and automated calibration software to calibrate many NI measurement products.
Return your registered product under warranty at no additional labor and parts cost. NI offers fault location, diagnostics, and repair any time the system fails as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications.
