Data Sheet
Mounting Compact FieldPoint Systems NI offers four mounting options for Compact FieldPoint. There are two panel mount options – the NI cFP-PM-H horizontal mount, with the holes at the sides of the backplane, and the cFP-PM-V vertical mount, with the holes at the top and bottom of the backplane. The backplanes are normally shipped with the cFP-PM-H. One kit is needed for either the NI cFP-BP-4 or the cFP-BP-8. You can also easily mount either the 4 or 8-slot backplanes in a standard 19 in. rack with the cFP-RM-8. The rack-mount bracket features captive screws for mounting the backplanes, and cutouts for running grounding cables to the backplane. The fourth mounting option is to mount Compact FieldPoint on a DIN rail using the DIN-rail mounting clip. The cFP-BP-8 requires two DIN-rail mounting clips, while the cFP-BP-4 requires only one.
Mounting Stand-Alone NI cFP-21xx Real-Time Controllers National Instruments offers options for mounting Compact FieldPoint controllers apart from a cFP-BP-x backplane, in applications requiring redundant controllers without redundant I/O. Mounting options include panel or DIN-rail mounting.
