The National Instruments VXI-PXI8340 kit links a PXI system to a VXI system using the high-speed MXI-3 bus via copper cabling. By using a PXI system to control VXI, you can build systems that exploit all the best features of each bus architecture. The NI VXI-PXI8340 features VXI plug&play compliant, integrated software, including interactive tools for troubleshooting and debugging VXI systems. With the comprehensive NI-VXI/NI-VISA software and programming libraries, you can program multiple mainframe configurations yet maintain software compatibility across a variety of VXI controller platforms. The NI VXI-PXI8340 kit contains a PXI MXI-3 interface (PXI-8330), a VXI MXI-3 interface (VXI-8340), a MXI-3 copper cable, and software.

Factory Installation

Reduce your setup time with National Instruments installation services and get a system you can use out of the box. Factory installation services include:

  • Installation of all individual hardware and software components as well as full testing to eliminate conflicts
  • Custom documentation plus a custom restore and startup utility
  • 2-year warranty and calibration coverage

This service is only available for PXI, CompactRIO, and Compact FieldPoint systems.

Extended Warranties

National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, but we know unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase covering any repair costs for up to three years.

Calibration
