The GPIB-1284CT is a bidirectional parallel-to-GPIB controller that you can use to control GPIB devices from the parallel port of your computer. The GPIB-1284CT is ideal for computer ssuch as notebook computers that have no plug-in slots but have a standard parallel port. The GPIB-1248CT has two parallel ports, one for connecting the host computer and another for transparent pass-through connection to other parallel port devices.
