With the National Instruments CAN interfaces, you can use your PC or PXI system to make automated measurements in automotive, medical, and embedded applications. Our CAN bus interfaces comply fully with the physical and electrical specifications outlined in ISO 11898. NI CAN interfaces for PXI, PCI, and PCMCIA integrate with data acquisition, image acquisition, and motion control modules by sharing timing and triggering lines. The NI CAN Series 2 interfaces take advantage of the Philips SJA1000 CAN controller for advanced functionality. The high-level application programming interface (API) makes development easy for synchronization or basic network communication. Engineers can now use the new CAN on PocketPC software with the NI LabVIEW PDA Module to create CAN applications and then easily download the application to small, portable PDA targets. CAN for PocketPC is useful for in-vehicle data acquisition, portable factory monitoring, and control and implementation of portable diagnostic applications.
