The 6th Annual Science and Big Physics Symposium on march 5th  is a technical workshop that covers topics in the areas of control, measurement and diagnostics for accelerators, cyclotrons, tokamaks and telescopes. The symposium brings together over 60 scientists and engineers from major research labs around the world such as CERN, PSI, INFN, ITER, ESO, and other research institutions. Attend this event to share ideas and results and to learn from the presentations of your peers from different labs and experiments worldwide.

Technical Presentations
The all day event features success stories, challenges, and new technologies. Join other engineers and scientists in networking and learning best practices and instrumentation strategies that you can apply in control, measurement, and diagnostics.

The symposium features the following example topics:

• Rapid Application Development Environment for Software Infrastructure at CERN
• Prototype of a combined screen monitor and wire scanner at SwissFEL
• Accelerator diagnostic systems based on FPGA and COTS technologies
• Quench detection systems for super-conducting magnets
• New technologies for picosecond resolution timing, triggering and synchronization
• Analysis and results from radiation testing of CompactRIO and NI PXI platforms
