I have a National Instruments Motion Controller board but I am unsure if I should use ValueMotion, FlexMotion or NI-Motion. Which one should I use and why?

Does the Number of Analog Inputs/Outputs on a Motion Controller Depend on Axes Available?
I have an NI PCI-7342 motion controller and I see that there are 4 analog inputs & 4 analog outputs available on the Motion I/O connector. Do I have access to all of these analog signals or am I limited by the number of axes I have (i.e. 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs)?
