Receiving Error when accessing properties of a Serial Device through a USB Serial Adapter
I’m using a third party serial device via a third party USB Serial adapter. I am able to configure and communicate with it under hyper-terminal. When testing the device in MAX, I am unable to change items such as the Baud Rate and Parity Bits. The error I receive is 0xBFFF0072.

How Can I Manually Connect Newly Found Hardware to its Driver?
The Found New Hardware Wizard comes up when my computer starts, but when I select the Install the software automatically option, the wizard seems to hang. The magnifying glass just keeps spinning. How do I connect the hardware to the driver?

Acquiring an IP Address for a GPIB-ENET
Ideally, you should ask your network administrator to provide you with an IP address for your GPIB-ENET. The alternative is to assign one yourself, which could cause conflicts if you use an IP address that is already claimed by another resource on the network.
