The QSI QTERM J-263 is a 4-line LCD display and keypad that you can use to communicate with any National Instruments LabVIEW Real-Time controller. Although the J-263 is designed for LabVIEW Real-Time, you can use it with any LabVIEW platform that has a standard RS-232 serial port. The J-263 is a special version of the standard QTERM J-10 device that you can order directly from QSI. Contact information for QSI is available on their Web site, qsicorp.com.

Complete the following steps to install the J-263 driver:
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\instr.lib.
2. Create a new folder called J-263.
3. Extract the files in the attached J-263 zip file to this new folder.
4. Launch LabVIEW. The driver and examples will appear in the functions palette under Instrument I/O»Intrument Drivers»J-263.
