Getting Started with Load Cells Using the SCXI-1520

This example program allows you to use the SCXI-1520 to null one or more load cells, or other full-bridge transducers. It then performs a buffered data acquisition.

The example is easy to use because Virtual Channels, rather than SCXI Channel Strings, are used to reference the input channels. When using this example program you need not disconnect any signal connections before performing the null and calibration.

The null algorithm is compatible with both relative and absolute full-bridge transducers. In the case of the absolute transducer, both a pre-null initial offset and a post-null residual offset are calculated. This example program measures the offset and adjusts the internal potentiometers to null the offset. Optionally you can save (in the SCXI-1520 module EEPROM) the calibration data, such as the potentiometer settings, to reduce the need for re-nulling before performing future acquisitions.

After the null is completed, a buffered data acquisition follows.
