Complete the following steps to run the Quad Encoder with NI ELVIS VI:

1. Run the Enable Bypass VI.
2. Enter the device number of the E Series DAQ device to which the NI ELVIS workstation connects.
3. Enter the counter number.
4. Connect the A output of the Quad Encoder to the source of the counter.
5. Connect the B output of the Quad Encoder to DO6 (when using counter 0) or DO7 (when using counter 1).
