This example demonstrates how to change the output pulse specification (frequency or duty cycle) on the fly without stopping the counter output.

Though this example is written specifically for devices with NI-TIO counter/timer application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), it can be modified to use with the DAQ-STC ASIC. To modify this program to be used with the DAQ-STC, replace Counter Gate (NI-TIO).vi in the diagram with Counter Gate (NI-STC).vi, which can be found in the example directory: ...\examples\daq\counter\daq-stc.llb\Counter Gate (STC).vi

Counter Control.vi with switch cycle control code is used to change the pulse specification on the fly. This example purposely ignores error -10880, which can occur if the output pulse specification changes too fast.
