The Challenge:
Designing, developing, and implementing a standard test platform for the manufacturing test of automotive consumer electronics and control systems for our customers, who are major automotive manufacturers
The Solution:
Using National Instruments software and hardware to reduce costs and development time.
"Our goals included having more flexible, faster testers, reducing costs, improving our reuse of test software and hardware, and reducing floor space. We standardized on NI software, including LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, NI Teststand, and NI-IMAQ, and replaced traditional rack and stack hardware with NI modular hardware, including PXI, data acquisition, switching, image acquisition, and modular instruments. With this new standardized test system, we reduced our delivery time to our customers to six to eight weeks, with a record time of two weeks due to software reuse. In addition, we saved more than $13 million and reduced the floor space by more than 1,300 square ft."
